Illustrative fireplace setting—not a verified customer installation. Product links show the catalogue specifications and current prices.
You can choose a fireplace online without guessing what its installation will cost. Start with a suitable model, send your Western Cape address and photos, then confirm an itemised quote for the appliance, flue, labour and delivery. Progress Group has served the region since 1990, with a showroom in Bellville. Installation is available within 200 km of Cape Town; courier supply can be quoted anywhere in South Africa. Your exact address and installation requirements determine what can be included.
How to order a fireplace online with installation
Browse the fireplace range and open the product you want to compare. For a fireplace needing installation, use Request my quote before committing to a complete installed price. Include the quantity, room measurements and address so the team can assess the appliance and installation together. A catalogue price is not automatically an installed price.
If you already know the required specification, the cart lets you review products and quantities before checkout. Check every included component and selected installation option. An automatically suggested flue kit is a starting point, not a site survey: the installer must confirm it against the appliance instructions and roof route. Supply-only online checkout does not require a customer account.
Compare real Magma fireplaces in the catalogue
The LavaFires Magma 002 Freestanding Fireplace 10kW is listed at R15 664 incl. VAT. The Magma 003 Freestanding Fireplace 15kW is listed at R18 786 incl. VAT. These are appliance listings: ask for their flue, labour, delivery and any additional site work separately. Do not choose the larger output simply because the price difference seems small; room volume, insulation and connected spaces affect the appropriate size.
The Magma 10kW fireplace and flue-kit special is R17 500 incl. VAT. Confirm the package contents and suitability for your roof before ordering. A kit included with a product does not mean every extra length, bend or installation task is included. These prices were checked against the site catalogue on 20 October 2026; use the product page and confirmed quotation for the current offer and availability.
Cape Town and northern suburbs: check the roof route first
For Bellville, Durbanville and Brackenfell homes, send photos of the intended position, ceiling and roof. A straight-looking route can still meet a roof truss or a room upstairs. Note whether the home is single or double storey and show nearby curtains, furniture and cabinetry. The installer checks the required hearth, combustible clearances and roof weatherproofing rather than relying on a room photograph alone.
In Cape Town apartments and managed estates, establish whether permission is needed for changes to shared walls or roofs before placing an order. An existing chimney also needs assessment; it should not be assumed safe or compatible with a new closed-combustion fireplace.
Cape Winelands: measure ceiling height and access
For Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Wellington, include ceiling height as well as floor dimensions. An open-plan room or high ceiling can change the heating requirement. Tell the team about estate access rules, narrow entrances, stairs and any roof features that could affect the installation. Have permissions for heritage or structural changes checked where applicable.
Use the actual address to confirm service coverage and travel, not the town name alone. A Winelands quote should explain the complete flue route and any extra access equipment or building work before you accept it.
West Coast and Overberg: confirm exposure and coverage
In Table View, Melkbosstrand, Langebaan and Saldanha, tell the installer about coastal exposure and any previous smoke or wind problems. Ask which exposed flue components, cowl and maintenance schedule suit the appliance and location. Stainless steel still needs appropriate selection and care; a coastal address alone does not establish the right specification.
For Helderberg addresses such as Somerset West, and Overberg addresses such as Hermanus, request a coverage check before assuming installation is included. Installation is limited to addresses within 200 km of Cape Town. Beyond the installation area, submit an enquiry for a nationwide courier quote and arrange suitable local installation separately; courier delivery is not an installation booking.
What should the complete quotation include?
EFT, card, Capitec Pay and buy now, pay later use the same price, with no payment-method surcharge. The payment-link amount should match the confirmed checkout and invoice total. Review the scope before paying; a supply-only amount must not be mistaken for a complete installation package. Availability and installation dates require confirmation. Allow an estimated two weeks if the product is not in stock, rather than treating that estimate as a guaranteed installation date.
- The exact fireplace model, quantity and VAT-inclusive product amount.
- Included flue parts, any additional lengths or bends, roof flashing and the confirmed installation specification.
- Installation labour, delivery or travel, and any separately quoted hearth, access or building work.
- Availability, estimated timing, exclusions and the payment reference.
Send these details for your installation quote
Send your preferred model and quantity, name and contact details, complete address, room length and width, ceiling height, storey count and roof type. Add clear photographs of the intended position and proposed flue route. Mention an existing chimney, coastal exposure or restricted access. Request an itemised fireplace-and-installation quote so you can agree the complete scope before ordering.
