The business began with wood-burning fireplaces at a time when most Cape homes were built without proper heating. Getting the heat right was never the hard part — getting the flue right was. That is still where we spend our attention: diameter, routing, insulation, termination height. A well-chosen fireplace on a badly designed flue disappoints every winter.

Braais came next, then gas, then air conditioning, then lighting — each added because our customers were already asking us to handle it. We kept the same rule throughout: we only sell what our own crews are willing to install and service afterwards.

Three decades later the showroom in Bellville is still where most jobs start. People come in to feel the difference between an open fireplace and a closed combustion unit, look at 304 stainless braai finishes in daylight, and leave with a written quote rather than a guess.
