Gas Fireplaces for Sale in Cape Town

Gas fireplaces give real flame at the turn of a knob or remote, with no wood to store and no ash to clean. They are ideal for apartments and estates where wood fires are restricted, and for anyone who wants heat on demand during load-shedding.

There are two main types. Flueless (vent-free) gas fireplaces need no chimney and suit larger, ventilated living areas. Balanced-flue fireplaces use a twin-wall pipe through the wall or roof to draw combustion air from outside and vent fumes, so they suit smaller or closed rooms. Built-in models fit flush into a wall or cabinet; free-standing models stand on a hearth.

Heat output is listed in kW — a 3–5 kW unit warms a lounge of 30–50 m². Gas fireplaces on this site start at R7,705 incl. VAT. Installation includes the gas piping, regulator and a pressure test, and is quoted once we know where the cylinder will stand.

Every installation is done by a registered gas installer and signed off with a gas Certificate of Conformity, which insurers require. We install within 200 km of Cape Town — the City, Northern and Southern Suburbs, the Cape Winelands, Overberg and West Coast — and courier anywhere in South Africa.
