1500 Combination Braai on Cabinet | Mild Steel
Mild Steel 1500mm built-in Combination braai on a cabinet for indoor as well as under-cover outdoor use.
Enjoy the best of both worlds. A traditional wood-burning South African braai as well as a 2-burner stainless steel gas griller .
The braai comes full house including flue pipe and a standard cyclone fixed cowl.
The double door cabinet is used as a wood storage and a base for the braai.
Please note this combination braai is designed to be built-in as opposed to a free-standing unit.
The cabinet is merely a substitute for a concrete foundation on which the braai rests on.

Gas connection
You will require a minimum 9kg bottle of LPG to operate the griller, although, we recommend a larger bottle.
Use 5/16th copper pipe to permanently connect the gas griller to the gas line.
We recommend you use a qualified gas installer for proper and safe installation.
Double door design
Double door design – top door tilts up, bottom door drops 90° to form a workbench.
Moreover, the bottom rests on specially designed strong L-brackets, doing away with the traditional double chain.
Construction
We use 2.5mm mild steel for the braai body and moving parts and 1.6mm for the braai doors.
The double door cabinet is made of 2.5mm mild steel.
The V-Shaped braai grid is made of 430 stainless steel while the BBQ grill is made of high grade 304 stainless steel.
Another unique feature of Lava’s braais is a recessed 220V spotlights for bright illumination.
The 1500 combination braai has dual spotlights to provide bright illumination on both sides.
Flue kit
A standard 2.4m flue kit made from a Chromadek roofing material is supplied with the braai.
A kit consists of 2 flue pipes and a fixed round cyclone cowl – together making up 2400mm.
Accessories available include – 45° offsets, extra flue pipes and wall support brackets.
Cowl
New Cyclone Cowl is now a standard feature in all Lava Fires braais & fireplaces.
The cyclone cowl replaces the traditional bird-looking rotating cowl.
Having a more efficient design, the new cyclone cowl does not rotate and is maintenance-free.
Nevertheless, a rotating cowl is still available on a special request at an additional charge .
Maintenance
In addition to regularly cleaning your braai, you will also need to maintain it periodically.
For example, depending on the frequency of use, we recommend you give a touch-up paint annually.
Such paint is readily available at your nearest hardware shop.
Moreover, for normal cleaning, avoid using any chemicals or detergents on the body of the braai. That is to say, only use a damp cloth dipped in water to prevent rusting.
